Asterisk*
Surgery of the hand
A flaky or bouncy finger

A peeling or skipping finger is a condition where the tendon of the muscle that flexes the finger becomes blocked during movement, causing pain and the characteristic peeling or skipping when bending and extending the thumb. The procedure involves releasing the tendon sheath.

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by pressure on the median nerve (nervus medianus) in the wrist area, where the nerve is compressed in the carpal tunnel. The syndrome is manifested by pain, tingling, tingling and impaired hand function. The procedure involves relieving pressure on the median nerve.

Dupuytren's contracture

Dupuytren's contracture is a hand disorder characterized by the formation of knots and constricting bands in the palm and fingers, which then cause shortening and stiffening of the hand tissues and limit the functionality of the entire hand.

De Quervain syndrome

De Quervain's syndrome also known as De Quervain's tenosynovitis, is an inflammation of the tendons on the thumb side of the wrist. It causes pain and swelling in this area, especially when moving the thumb and wrist. The treatment involves loosening these tendon sheaths, allowing the tendons to move more freely and relieving the pain.

Ganglion

A ganglion is a benign fluid-filled cyst-like mass that usually occurs near joints and tendons, most commonly in the hands and wrists. It can vary in size. Most ganglions are painless, but they can cause cosmetic problems. In some cases, surgical removal of this formation is appropriate.

Other interventions
Removal of osteosynthetic material after surgery

This involves removing metal implants such as screws, plates or wires that were used to fix the broken bone during surgery. This material is removed after the fracture has healed, usually after a few months, to prevent complications and allow the limb to return to full function and mobility.

Removal of skin moles
and growths

Removing skin tags and growths on the advice of a skin doctor is an important step that should be carefully considered and discussed with a specialist to ensure the health of the skin and prevent possible complications.

Hammer finger
- deformity on the leg

Hammer toe is a deformity of the toe in which the toe bends downward at the middle joint and resembles the shape of a hammer. This condition can cause pain, blisters, bunions and difficulty walking or wearing shoes. The goal of treatment, including surgery, is to straighten the toe into the correct position, relieve pain and allow for more comfortable walking.

Preparing operating theatres
equipped with the latest technology
from Arthrex

What we will operate
at the Movela Clinic*

From April 2026 we will focus on
in surgery for joint diseases
and bones of the whole body, except the head
and spine

The procedures will be performed in three superaseptic operating theatres
with state-of-the-art equipment.

We use innovative technology
from the world's leading suppliers, including Arthrex.

In operating theatres, we eliminate the spread of infections through the air by using laminar flow.

We specialize in
on arthroscopy and nanoscopy
Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical method that allows the internal structures of the joint to be viewed and treated using a camera and special instruments inserted through tiny incisions in the joint. It is a gentler alternative to open joint surgery, with less post-operative pain and a shorter recovery time.

Nanoscopes

Nanoscopy is a modern method that allows detailed examination and possible treatment of joints using a very thin camera, called a nanoscope. This method is less invasive than conventional arthroscopy because the nanoscope is much thinner (1.9 mm) than an arthroscope. As a result, the procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, without the need for hospitalisation and with a fast recovery. Nanoscopy allows the doctor to diagnose joint injuries in detail, while also performing minor procedures such as treating menisci or removing loose bodies.

What can be treated with arthroscopy or nanoscopy
Meniscus treatment

A special arthroscope is used to look directly into the knee joint, where the meniscus is then stitched or part of it is removed.

Treatment of articular cartilage

We relieve pain, improve joint function and slow cartilage degeneration. We can also include pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods in the treatment. In severe cases, we will perform surgery.

Treatment of injured ligaments

The MRI will determine the severity of the injury. Mild cases are usually treated conservatively, more serious cases are treated surgically.

Foot surgery
Unstable ankle surgery

Stabilization surgery of the ankle joint is performed in case of instability of the joint, which is manifested by frequent sprains or pain. The surgery can be either arthroscopic, where the joint is examined and possibly treated with small incisions, or open, where a larger incision is made. After surgery, rehabilitation is important to restore range of motion and muscle strength.

Buckled thumb

Also known as hallux valgus, it is a deformity of the foot in which the big toe curls towards the other toes, creating a bony growth on the inside of the foot at the big toe joint. This deformity can cause pain, discomfort and limit the mobility of the foot. The goal of the surgery is to loosen the thumb joint, realign the thumb to the correct position and reduce pain.

Deformity of the leg

Surgery to relieve pain caused by foot defects - deformities.Deformity can cause pain, discomfort and limit the mobility of the leg. The goal of surgery is to relieve it, realign it to the correct position and reduce pain.

Surgery of the upper limb
Stabilisation operations
shoulder joint

Shoulder stabilization surgery is a surgical procedure that aims to restore stability and functionality of the shoulder joint, most often after dislocation (luxation) or instability caused by damage to ligaments and cartilage.

Tennis elbow

Tennis elbow is a painful disease of the tendons and muscle tendons in the elbow area, on the outer side. It is most often caused by repeated overuse of the muscles of the forearm. Pain occurs with weight-bearing, lifting objects or with movements of the wrist and fingers. We resort to surgical treatment only when conservative treatment fails.

Subacromial decompression

Subacromial decompression is a shoulder surgery that frees the space under the bony prominence of the scapula. This removes the pressure on the tendons that causes pain when lifting the arm or lying on the shoulder. The procedure helps relieve pain and improve mobility.

Bc. Hana Dolozimová, DiS.
Physiotherapist / Rehabilitation

„Persta Atque Obdura!“ - „Hold on and persevere!“

I am an experienced physiotherapist with 20 years of experience. I work empathetically and with an individual approach, I can assess, reassure and motivate patients. In order for physiotherapy to be successful and lead to long-term health improvement, it is essential that the patient understands their diagnosis and the importance of movement. Together, we look for ways of successful treatment. I believe that the patient's progress is based on mutual cooperation and understanding, but above all on the patient's will. I like to create tailored strategies and enjoy seeing progress, satisfaction and the joy of returning to daily life, exercise and sport.

For me personally, Movela* is the company whose vision reflects my values and approach to patients.

Alena Jiskrová
Head ward nurse

Orthopaedics has been my hobby almost since I graduated from high school and has been intertwined throughout my life.
In 1996 I was at the birth of the Orthopaedics Clinic in Jablonec nad Nisou and now I am pleased to be at the birth of the Movela Clinic, under the leadership of Robert Švígler MBA, whom I have long appreciated as a good person.
I have diversified my work experience in the field by working as a salesman of orthopaedic implants and as a clinical assistant in major revision surgeries in hospitals across the Czech Republic.

Simona Habětínková
Head nurse of outpatient clinics and inpatient department

I have been in orthopaedics for more than 20 years.
I was part of the team that was at the birth of Ortopedie Liberec s.r.o. and now I am enthusiastically involved in building the Movela* clinic.
I see the meaning of my work in helping people to return to a full and active lifestyle.
I am empathetic and I pride myself on teamwork because I believe that a cohesive team is the foundation of quality care.
In my spare time, I draw energy from the outdoors or on hikes with my family and dog, which helps me keep a human touch and professional perspective.
I believe that movement is the key to a good life - and my mission is to help people get it back.

MUDr. Pavel Šír
Head of Day Surgery and medical care, orthopaedic surgeon

Until 2012 I was a member of the committee of the Arthroscopic Society of the Czech Republic. I founded one of the first orthopaedic day care facilities in the Czech Republic.

I have been involved in arthroscopic surgery since 1991 and have performed a wide range of orthopaedic procedures, including endoprosthetics of large and small joints. I gained valuable experience abroad - during 7.5 years of work in the Federal Republic of Germany, where I worked in three orthopaedic clinics. I have also completed internships in clinics in Austria and Switzerland.

My surgical focus includes arthroscopic surgery, corrective procedures and minimally invasive procedures.

In my spare time I like cycling, skiing, travelling and exploring mountains in different countries.

MUDr. Robert Švígler MBA - founder of the Movela Clinic in Liberec
Robert Svigler, M.D., MBA
Founder of the Movela Clinic, orthopaedic surgeon and visionary

I have been practicing orthopedics for almost 20 years. My greatest joy comes from surgery - especially joint replacements and the solution of forefoot deformities. I place great emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and on modern healthcare that is efficient, humane and accessible to all.

For more than ten years I have been running my own practice ORTOPEDIE Liberec s.r.o., where I have managed to build a team of ten doctors in the field of orthopaedics, rehabilitation medicine and neurology, as well as twelve physiotherapists. Now I am expanding my cooperation with other specialists and I am transferring my experience to the Movela Clinic project.

In my spare time I like to travel and seek climbing challenges. I see them similarly to my job - not giving up, overcoming obstacles and pushing on, on the way to the top.

Ing. Pavlína Housová
Project manager of the orthopaedic clinic

I have over 20 years of experience in strategy, HR, leadership, talent development, communications, change management and social responsibility. I entered into the development of a new orthopedic clinic with a vision to collaboratively build a place that combines superior professional care, a human touch, and an innovative environment to work and collaborate.

I believe that innovation is not just about technology, but above all about mindset, culture, and the courage to try new ways and find meaningful solutions. That's why from the very first plans I help to create a team where values, professional quality and personality of each member play a role. I place emphasis on an environment where people feel comfortable, develop their potential and pull together.

I have a track record of implementing change in large corporate and business environments. During my time at Covid I started a travel project with mountain expeditions and events that I led myself - thanks to this I know what leadership looks like in the extreme and how important a team is when the going gets tough.

I have two children and my greatest energy comes from movement, adventurous travel and discovering new challenges in the mountains.
